Good news for all the Indian telecom users who are fed up of their existing operator. As you all may know, Mobile Number Portability (MNP) was started in India on January 2011 and it recently crossed the 100 million mark according to a statement released by TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India).
The Telecom Commission of India has recently agreed on Inter-Circle Mobile Number Portability (MNP). Though, it'll take some time due to official reasons but it will be a great relief for those who have changed their telecom circle but do not wish to change their Mobile Number as it may cause utter inconvenience to them.
"We shall ask the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) for further recommendations on these issues. Based on the Trai response, a final decision will be taken. It would then go to the Cabinet for approval," said a member of the Telecom Commission.
